KC Blakes Restaurant is located in a medieval building next to Jury’s Inn at the bottom of Quay Street in the heart of Galway’s Latin Quarter/Spanish Arch. The restaurant occupies a vibrant and inviting space with hanging tapestries and dark wood floors giving a warmly informal atmosphere. We have a private seating area upstairs for groups of 10 to 24 (subject to availability).
The restaurant is presided over by John Casey, whose family have spent over 40 years in the restaurant business, and John brings his wealth of international cooking experience to the fore. As a result the restaurant has built up a loyal following of both locals and tourists. Our wide ranging value for money Set Menu, Early Bird and A la Carte are available Monday to Saturday from 5pm.
Our Menus reflect an ethos of sourcing local, seasonal produce and creating dishes with an understated yet contemporary style. With Galway’s proximity to the West Coast of Ireland, seafood features strongly on our menus where fresh landings appear on our daily specials board throughout the seasons.
“Very good location and equally good experience. Six of us went last weekend and were put on a round table which is so much better for conversation. The food and service were excellent with helpful tips on wine etc. We had a real mix between us and everyone was very pleased with their choices whether fish or meat. My partner and I had been here nine years ago and if anything the standard is even higher than then.”
